Here you will find my collection of playlists for An Epiphany of Sound. This
is a show I've been doing at Stanford's radio station, KZSU, since the fall
of '93.
As the name suggests, I've attempted to put out an enlightening blend of
sounds for the people of the Bay area to hear. Sounds you might not hear
elsewhere, hopefully presented in a fun way.
Over the years, after the mixture has had a chance to boil down, it seems
that what is left is a selection from the electronic area of things; plenty
of techno, some industrial, some noise and some odd sounds/samples. But in
between there's been a full slice of music presented, including the areas
of Blues, Reggae, World music, Jazz, a spattering of Hip-Hop and even a
country song or 2.
I still enjoy pulling out old show tapes and listening to them. So I hope
you can peruse through these playlists and find a few gems for yourself.
Unfortunately I haven't been as diligent as I could be in entering in all
of the playlists, so right now there's most of the shows for 4 of the
quarters I've been on the air. The remaining quarters are partially
covered.
UPDATE: We now log playlists directly into ZooKeeper (our music library database), so recent playlists will now be added much more easily (and linked directly to the ZooKeeper entries). (If you want to see the list of playlists available on "ZooKeeper", click here) A GREAT new feature on ZooKeeper is the DJ Zone. Check it out here!
